Lynn Edwards is a full time professional artist and art instructor living in the Atlanta, GA area. Her studio is located in a beautiful natural setting that provides ample inspiration for the landscapes and mixed media collaged abstracts for which she is known. Teaching others to express themselves through art is one of her greatest pleasures. When she's not painting she can be found working with her students at Kennesaw State University's Continuing Education Department in classes offered through its Osher Lifelong Learning Institute.
With a background in journalism and advertising, the written word plays an important role in many of her works. She especially likes to incorporate her own handwriting into her designs, particularly when she can do so to personalize the artwork for an intended recipient. She especially enjoys hiding letters or script under layers of pattern and color so that viewers are led on a visual journey into and through each piece of art.
Lynn is a member of the Atlanta Artists Center, the Atlanta Collage Society, and the Blue Ridge Mountain Arts Association.
