Lynn Edwards is a full time professional artist living in the greater metro Atlanta area. Her sophisticated colorful abstracts and mixed media collages are held in both corporate and private collections. Her work has been accepted into many juried exhibitions and featured in venues as diverse as Disney/ABC Films, The Ferst Center for the Arts at Georgia Tech, Georgia Perimeter College and Emory University Clinics. Formerly, Lynn taught acrylic painting, abstract painting and mixed media collage classes for 3 1/2 years at Kennesaw State University in the Continuing Education Department, and, prior to that, in the Enrichment of Life (ELM) educational program in Marietta, GA.
With a background in print and broadcast communications, the written word plays an important role in many of Lynn's works. She often incorporates handwriting, symbols and foreign text into her designs. She especially enjoys hiding letters or script under layers of pattern and color so that viewers are led on a visual journey into and through each piece of art.
Her studio is located in Dallas, GA, where she resides with her husband and two hopelessly lazy cats.
